We’ve been hard at work over the past several months on enhancements that will elevate the Carmel Valley Ranch experience, whether you’re here to play, dine, meet, or all of the above!
Valley Kitchen
We’ve completely revitalized the interiors of Valley Kitchen and the Valley View Room with upgraded furnishings, fixtures, and equipment—creating a look that is clean and contemporary yet still warm and inviting. For those who love to dine al fresco, our expansive and heated patios have all-new furniture as well.
Perhaps most exciting, we’ve launched an entirely new outdoor bar—complete with a wide range of poolside lounge seating and day beds.
Of course, a transformed restaurant needs transformed menus, and Ricardo Aguilar, our new Chef de Cuisine, was up to the task! He has crafted new menus that showcase the ingredients we grow and produce right here, and we’ve expanded our gardens so we can grow even more. Responsible sourcing is a big part of our sustainability efforts, but we also believe that the freshest local ingredients just taste better. (Trust us—you’ll agree!)
River Ranch
Our biggest play space is getting a makeover as well: Beginning October 16, 2023, and running until early spring 2024, we’ll be working to make River Ranch even better. In addition to fully renovating the locker rooms, we’re also building a new children’s wading pool and splash pad—as well as expanding the seating area with dozens of new chaise loungers. The area will be lined with newly planted olive trees and be warmed by new fire pits.
While we’re at work building your new River Ranch, the play structure, family pool, current splash pad, family hot tub, and associated seating will be temporarily out of service. The kid’s club (reservations recommended), flex pool will remain open (reservations for lap lanes recommended); during this transitionary period, it will welcome guests of all ages. The Lodge Pool is open to adults 16 and older.
While the current fitness center will be available intermittently, at other times we’ll have to relocate some equipment to an adjacent tent. Tennis and other activities should not be impacted (other than a bit of construction noise among the normal sounds of laughter and fun).
During this period, the River Ranch Café will still be open seven days a week. The Golf Clubhouse, temporary Valley Kitchen, and the Market also will remain open for all meal periods.
The Think Tank
We’ve also reimagined this popular and intimate space for meetings with a full renovation that includes a new table, chairs, buffet, and upgraded AV capabilities. It’s a spectacular interior aesthetic that pairs perfectly with the Think Tank’s time-honored sweeping views of the valley.
